Lydia graduated with a 2:1 degree in Performance Arts in 2001 and began her career working as a professional dancer, both in the UK and abroad. Her portfolio included contracts with several big name brands, such as Ministry of Sound.
Having always had a passion for movement and dancing, Lydia decided to embark on a career in the Fitness Industry beginning in 2003. Since then she has worked as a Fitness Professional, Exercise to Music Instructor and Personal Trainer for several prestigious health clubs across London, including Champneys CityPoint, and Harrods PowerPlate studio in Knightsbridge.
In 2005, Lydia undertook Pilates Matwork teacher training, and began teaching Pilates classes to a diverse clientele. In 2011, Lydia made the decision to specialise in Pilates and completed the Pilates Equipment Diploma award with Pilates Precision. Lydia also enrolled in the STOTT Pilates Reformer training course.
Lydia has worked at various specialist Pilates studios across London in addition to teaching Pilates in Physiotherapy clinics, Osteopathy clinics, and Personal Training centres at prominent locations in London and the South East. Lydia is accustomed to working alongside people of every age, whose abilities and health conditions are of varying levels.

Samantha has enjoyed an active lifestyle, working in the Equine Industry in her 20’s. After suffering a back injury she decided to switch to a career in Marketing and started using the gym on a regular basis in her spare time. From there she developed a passion for health and fitness and in 2010 she trained as a Fitness Instructor, Exercise to Music Instructor and Personal Trainer.
Samantha also undertook the STOTT Pilates Matwork course and is now an experienced Pilates Teacher. Samantha currently works as a Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor in Horley and Haywards Heath.
Kathleen has been practising Pilates for over 20 years and has been a qualified Instructor for 13 years. Prior to formal teacher training she spent five years in Australia training on the studio equipment, as part of her rehabilitation for a back injury.
Kathleen re-located to the UK and undertook Pilates teacher training at Body Control Pilates in London. More recently she received Matwork and Equipment certification from Balanced Body. She has helped clients with a number of conditions, such as: ME, arthritis, MS, scoliosis, hip replacements and pre-post natal clients.
Kathleen attends a number of Pilates workshops and courses throughout the year; as well as attending ballet, yoga and barre workouts in her spare time. Kate is a member of Body Control Pilates, Pilates Method Alliance and Registrar of Exercise Professionals.
Adrian began practising Pilates in 2001 when office work led to lower back pain. While treating his lower back he discovered the many other benefits of increased strength and flexibility that came with regular Pilates practice; and has been a devotee ever since.
Adrian qualified as a level 3 Pilates Matwork Instructor with Tula Training in Brighton. During his years of practice, he has witnessed the transformative effects of Pilates on people’s daily lives and seeks to share these through his teaching. Adrian teaches regular classes at Pilates in Lewes and Pilates in Brighton.
Katrina Parsey is the director of Well-being Ionian, a company providing well-being through movement and creative arts. She teaches Pilates, mindful movement, meditation and runs walking tours on the island of Ithaca, Greece. She trained in community theatre, dance and worked in theatre for twenty years where she studied Tai Chi, Alexander Technique, Flamenco and contemporary dance.
Katrina trained for six years in Pilates with Chris Hocking and Alan Herdmen. She then qualified in Pilates matwork and equipment. She taught for fifteen years in gyms, community venues and private small groups. Katrina now specialises in mat and remedial Pilates. She has a unique mindful approach to body work and believes in the joy of movement. She still works in theatre as a movement coach and is a published writer and storyteller.
